Leave a Profile, transfer ownership or delete it
Choose the right action when you leave a business, hand over a Profile, remove a member, or retire a Profile.

Choose the right action
- Leave Profile: remove your own membership while the Profile remains for its other members.
- Transfer ownership: make another existing member the Owner.
- Remove Member: an Owner or Admin removes someone else’s membership.
- Delete Profile: the Owner removes access to the Profile for all its members.
None of these actions deletes your personal login. For that separate action, see Delete your personal account.
Leave a Profile
- Open Profiles in the app navigation, select the Profile and open Members.
- Open the action menu on your own member row and choose Leave Profile.
- Read and confirm the prompt. If you are the Owner, choose an existing member as the new Owner and use Leave and Transfer.
If there is no suitable replacement owner, invite the person first and wait for them to join, or contact Support before proceeding. Leaving removes the Profile-based access you had through that membership; an old order link does not restore it.
Transfer ownership while staying a member
As the Owner, open the action menu on the intended new owner’s member row, choose Transfer Ownership and confirm. The selected member becomes Owner. If you transfer without leaving, you remain a member with the Admin role.
Use Leave and Transfer instead if you also want to remove your own membership. Ownership can only be transferred to an existing member, so an outstanding invitation is not enough.
Delete a Profile for everyone
- Check that the correct Profile is selected and open Profile Details.
- As the Owner, find Destructive Action and choose Delete Profile.
- Read the warning, then choose Confirm Deletion only if every member should lose access. Otherwise choose Cancel.
There is no undo control in this flow. Deleting a Profile removes its members’ access; it does not promise to erase transaction history or cancel ongoing Partner Orders. Coordinate active work with your team and Support before deleting.
After your membership ends
The removed Profile is no longer available in your settings selection, and Paperstac can return you to Account Settings. Your other memberships and personal login remain separate. If you removed the wrong access, ask the Profile’s Owner or an Admin about a new invitation rather than creating another personal account.
